Albcontrol
Albcontrol is a 100% joint stock Albanian company owned by the Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism, Trade and Enterprise (Albania), Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy (Albania). It was established as a state-owned enterprise in 1992 and on February 3, 1999 it transformed into a joint stock company called the "National Air Traffic Agency". Albcontrol manages and controls the Albanian airspace (FIR), in compliance with international air navigation standards. It is a member of Eurocontrol since 2003. In 2009 it joined Civil Air Navigation Services Organization, CANSO Global and in January 2016 it became a full member of CANSO Europe Region. Civil Air Navigation Services Organization
The Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO) is a representative body of companies that provide air traffic control. It represents the interests of Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs). CANSO members are responsible for supporting over 85% of world air traffic, and through its workgroups, members share information and develop new policies, with the aim of improving air navigation services on the ground and in the air. CANSO also represents its members' views in regulatory and industry forums, including at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), where it has official Observer status. Full membership is open to all ANSPs regardless of their legal status. This includes ANSPs who are integrated within government structures and departments. Members who are not separated from their governments are able to sign an article of membership which explicitly recognises that CANSO does not represent the national government of the ANSP's home state in any way. Tirana
Tirana ( , ; aln, Tirona) is the capital and largest city of Albania. The European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation, commonly known as Eurocontrol (stylised ''EUROCONTROL''), is an international organisation working to achieve safe and seamless air traffic management across Europe. Founded in 1960, Eurocontrol currently has 41 member states and is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium. It has several local sites as well, including an Innovation Hub in Brétigny-sur-Orge, France, the Aviation Learning Centre (ALC) in Luxembourg, and the Maastricht Upper Area Control Centre (MUAC) in Maastricht, the Netherlands.
