Alasdair Evans
Alasdair Campbell Evans (born 12 January 1989) is an English born Scottish cricketer. Evans is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm medium-fast. He was born in Pembury, Kent. Domestic and T20 career While studying for his degree at Loughborough University, Evans made his first-class debut for Loughborough UCCE against Leicestershire in 2009. He made a further appearance for the team in 2009, against Kent. In that season he made his One Day International debut for Scotland, playing two matches against Canada, in the process claiming his first international wicket, that of Sunil Dhaniram. Later in August 2009, Evans made his first first-class appearance for Scotland against Ireland in the 2009-10 ICC Intercontinental Cup. In 2010, he played a List A match for Scotland against India A, which Scotland lost by 152 runs. Pembury
Pembury is a large village in Kent, in the south east of England, with a population of 6,128 at the 2011 Census. It lies just to the north-east of Royal Tunbridge Wells. The village centre, including the village green and High Street area is a Conservation Area (United Kingdom), conservation area. First-class Cricket
First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is one of three or more days' scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. The etymology of "first-class cricket" is unknown, but it was used loosely before it acquired official status in 1895, following a meeting of leading English clubs. At a meeting of the Imperial Cricket Conference (ICC) in 1947, it was formally defined on a global basis. Scottish Cricket Team In Ireland In 2015
The Scottish cricket team toured Ireland from 18 to 21 June 2015 to play four Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. Scotland won the four-match series 2–0, with two games declared no-results due to rain. Originally planned as a three-match series, an extra game was added to the schedule after the second match was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to rain. The tour was a warm-up for the 2015 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier which took place in Ireland the following month. Euro T20 Slam
The Euro T20 Slam is a planned professional Twenty20 cricket league. The first edition of the tournament was initially scheduled to start in August 2019, with matches to be held in Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands. It's launch has been postponed on several occasions due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. History In March 2019, Cricket Scotland, Cricket Ireland and Royal Dutch Cricket Association officially announced the Euro T20 Slam. It was to start on 30 August and conclude on 22 September 2019 and feature 33 matches. The tournament was to have six city-based franchise teams, two each from Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands. Netherlands National Cricket Team
The Netherlands national cricket team (Dutch: Nederlandse cricket team) is the men's team that represents the Kingdom of the Netherlands and is administered by the Royal Dutch Cricket Association. Cricket has been played in the Netherlands since at least the 19th century, and in the 1860s was considered a major sport in the country. The India A cricket team is a national cricket team representing India. It is the second-tier of Indian international cricket, below the full India national cricket team. The team is currently captained by Priyank Panchal in first-class cricket and Sanju Samson in List A cricket. The team is coached by former Saurashtra player Shitanshu Kotak. The matches played by India A are not considered to be Test matches or One Day Internationals, instead receiving first-class and List A classification respectively. The Ireland cricket team represents all of Ireland in international cricket. The Irish Cricket Union, operating under the brand Cricket Ireland is the sport's governing body in Ireland, and organises the international team. Sunil Dhaniram
Sunil Dhaniram (born 17 October 1968) is a former Canadian cricketer and a former captain, who played ODIs and T20Is. He formerly played for Guyana from 1993 to 1995. He made his Canadian debut on 2 October 2003 playing against the Windward Islands. He made his ODI debut for Canada on 16 May 2006 against Zimbabwe, and has played 44 ODIs in his long career. He has also played for Canada in seven ICC Intercontinental Cup games, and represented them in the 2007 Cricket World Cup. Guyana From 1993 to 1995, Dhaniram represented his home country of Guyana in a few of the prime years of West Indian Cricket. During that time, he played 12 first class matches for Guyana, and scored 270 runs in that period, including a high score of 57 against Leeward Islands in 1994. . Canada National Cricket Team
The Canada national cricket team represents Canada in international cricket. The team is organised by Cricket Canada, which became an Associate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1968. With the United States, Canada was one of the two participants in the first ever international cricket match, played in New York City in 1844. The annual Canada–U.S. fixture is now known as the Auty Cup. Canada's first international match against a team other than the U.S. came in 1932, when Australia toured.
