Alain Arroyo
Alain Arroyo Martínez de la Cuadra (born 5 July 1982) is a Spanish former professional footballer who played mainly as a forward, and the current manager of Urduliz FT. Club career Arroyo was born in Bilbao, Biscay. Starting out in amateur football in his native Basque Country, he scored the winning goal in the final of the 2005 UEFA Regions' Cup while playing for the Basque Country amateur team, and subsequently signed for Deportivo Alavés B of Segunda División B, remaining in that tier the next six seasons representing Club Portugalete (a club he had already played for), Sestao River Club, SD Lemona, CD Guadalajara and CD Mirandés. In his second season with Mirandés, Arroyo scored a career-best 13 goals to help the Castille and León side achieve promotion to Segunda División for the first time in their history. Biscay
Biscay (; eu, Bizkaia ; es, Vizcaya ) is a province of Spain and a historical territory of the Basque Country, heir of the ancient Lordship of Biscay, lying on the south shore of the eponymous bay. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time. ''El Correo'' (; ) is a leading daily newspaper in Bilbao and the Basque Country of northern Spain. It is among best-selling general interest newspapers in Spain. Segunda División B ( en, Second Division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. It was administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. It was below the top two professional leagues, the ''Primera División'' (also known as La Liga) and the ''Segunda División'', and above the ''Tercera División''.
