State Route 195 (SR 195) is a highway running mainly in a north and south direction through two counties, Winston and Walker in the U.S. state of Alabama. Route description The southern terminus of SR 195 is located at its intersection with SR 5 in Jasper. From this point the route travels in a north-northwest direction in intersecting SR 257 and traversing the William B. Bankhead National Forest en route to Double Springs. In Double Springs, SR 195 has a concurrency with US 278 U.S. Route 278 (US 278) is a parallel route of US 78. It currently runs for from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, to Wickes, Arkansas at US 71/ US 59, passing through five states in the process. State Route 13 (SR 13) is a state highway in the western part of the U.S. state of Alabama. Except for a portion roughly between Berry and Russellville, SR 13 is the unsigned designation for U.S. Route 43 (US 43). Thus, while the total distance of the route is over , as an independently signed route, SR 13 is only long. Jasper, Alabama
Jasper is a city in and the county seat of Walker County, Alabama, United States. Its population was 14,352 as of the 2010 census. Named in honor of Sergeant William Jasper, an American Revolutionary War hero, Jasper was settled around 1815 and incorporated on August 18, 1886. The first significant growth of the area was in 1886, when the Kansas City, Memphis and Birmingham Railroad and the Sheffield & Birmingham Railroads were completed through Jasper. The population grew from 200 people in 1886 to more than 3,000 in 1890.
