Quds News Network
The Quds News Network ( ar, شبكة قدس الإخبارية) (QNN, see Quds) is a Palestinian news agency. It is associated with Hamas, and is popular among young Palestinian Internet users for showing videos of the Palestinian conflict and encouraging them to wage war on the Israeli government. Its website is blocked by the Palestinian Authority at the West Bank because it was critical of the administration of President Mahmoud Abbas, and for its ties with his rival Hamas. In the same week, the block led to protests in the Gaza Strip, accusing Fatah of censorship. Al-Quds Mosque Hamburg (Arabic: , meaning "Jerusalem", or Masjid Taiba ) was a mosque in Hamburg, Germany between 1993 and 2010 when it was shut down by German security officials. The mosque was known for preaching a radical form of Sunni Islam. ''Al-Quds'' ( ar, القدس) was an Arabic language newspaper published in Ottoman period Jerusalem between 1908 and 1914. The first issue of the paper appeared on 18 September 1908. Its publisher was Jurji Habib Hanania (1864-1920). According to the Hanania's editorial in the first issue of the newspaper on 18 September 1908 he had already applied several times for the permit to publish a newspaper starting in 1899 without success. In 1908 al-Quds was the first of many new newspapers that could be established after the Young Turk Revolution newly improvement of freedom of the press.
