Akeem Jordan
Akeem Raphael Jordan (born August 17, 1985) is a former American football and Canadian football linebacker. He was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He has also played for the Kansas City Chiefs and Washington Redskins. He played college football at James Madison. Early years Jordan attended Harrisonburg High School in Virginia. While there, he played high school football. In 2001, he was named the Virginia Group AA Player of the Year after leading his team to a state title. He earned first-team all-state honors in 2002 as a senior defensive back, and second-team honors as a running back. Linebacker
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. Buck Buchanan Award
The Buck Buchanan Award is awarded annually to the most outstanding defensive player in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision (formerly Division I-AA) of college football, and was first given in 1995 after the Walter Payton Award was designated solely for offensive players. It was named in honor of Pro Football Hall of Fame defensive tackle Buck Buchanan, who starred at Grambling State University. Buchanan was an All-American defensive lineman and the first overall pick in the 1963 American Football League (AFL) Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. Up until 2015, the Payton and Buchanan Awards were awarded by The Sports Network. The American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) is an association of over 11,000 American football coaches and staff on all levels. According to its constitution, some of the main goals of the American Football Coaches Association are to "maintain the highest possible standards in football and the profession of coaching football," and to "provide a forum for the discussion and study of all matters pertaining to football and coaching." Chris Long (American Football)
Christopher Howard Long (born March 28, 1985) is a former American football defensive end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 11 seasons. The son of Pro Football Hall of Fame, Hall of Fame defensive end Howie Long and older brother of NFL guard (American and Canadian football), guard Kyle Long, he played college football at University of Virginia, Virginia and received unanimous All-American honors. Long was selected by the St. Louis Rams second overall in the 2008 NFL Draft, where he spent eight seasons. He later played one season for the New England Patriots and two for the Philadelphia Eagles, winning a Super Bowl title with each. Vincent Larry Hall (born December 3, 1984) is a former American football linebacker. He was signed by the St. Louis Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2008. He played college football at Virginia Tech. Hall was also a member of the Buffalo Bills, Richmond Raiders and Richmond Revolution. Early years He played high school football at Western Branch High School in Chesapeake, Virginia where he lettered four seasons as a linebacker and was named an All-American by both SuperPrep and PrepStar as a linebacker following his senior season. A running back (RB) is a member of the offensive backfield in gridiron football.
