Ajuma Ameh
Ajuma Ameh-Otache (1 December 1984 – 10 November 2018) was a Nigerian football midfielder and later a coach. She was part of the Nigeria women's national football team at the 2004 Summer Olympics. She also won the African Women's Cup of Nations that same year. At the club level, she played for Pelican Stars. Ameh-Otache died on 10 November 2018 at the age of 33; no details for her cause of death have been given. Pelican Stars F.C. is a women's association football club based in Calabar, Cross River State. They play in the Nigeria Women's Football League Championship, the second division for women's football in the country. In 2015, the team protested against the government for inadequate funding for the club. The Nigeria national women's football team, nicknamed the Super Falcons, represents Nigeria in international women's football and is controlled by the Nigeria Football Federation. Women's Olympic Football tournament was held for the third time at the 2004 Summer Olympics. The tournament featured 10 women's national teams from six continental confederations. Nigeria competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, from 13 to 29 August 2004.
