"Ain't My Bitch" is a song by American heavy metal band Metallica from their sixth album, '' Load''. It is the opening track of the album and was released as a promotional single in Mexico. It reached number 15 on the ''Billboard'' Mainstream Rock chart. "Ain't My Bitch" gained media attention and notoriety due to its title. Vocalist/lyricist James Hetfield later explained that the 'bitch' in the song does not refer to a woman, but acts as a metaphor for a problem. Slide (guitar)
Slide guitar is a technique for playing the guitar that is often used in blues music. It involves playing a guitar while holding a hard object (a slide) against the strings, creating the opportunity for glissando effects and deep vibratos that reflect characteristics of the human singing voice. Kirk Lee Hammett (born November 18, 1962) is an American musician who has been the lead guitarist and a contributing songwriter for heavy metal band Metallica since 1983.
