Aiman Abdallah
Aiman Abdallah (born 1965) is a German television presenter of Egyptian descent for the German television show ''Galileo'' at ProSieben and former rugby national player. Born in Bad Kreuznach, he played for the Berliner SV 1892. Life and career From 1984 to 1991, he studied computer science at the TU Berlin. Parallel from 1987 to 1993, he worked as a freelance employee at ZDF. From 1990 to 1993, he worked as a freelance editor for various production companies. Around the same time, he worked as a freelancer in the sports department of the television station RIAS-TV in Berlin. From 1993 to 1994, Abdallah worked as a sports editor for the international broadcaster Deutsche Welle and as a sports presenter for the radio station Kiss-FM in Berlin. ProSieben People
ProSieben (, ''sieben'' is German for "seven"; often stylized as Pro7) is a German free-to-air television network owned by ProSiebenSat.1 Media. It was launched on 1 January 1989. It is Germany's second-largest privately owned television company. Although ProSieben produces some of its programming itself, it also airs many American imports. On 3 May 2012, the network launched a pay-TV channel called ProSieben Fun. A third channel called ProSieben Maxx started broadcasting on 3 September 2013. The three different feeds of the channel are: ProSieben (for Germany), ProSieben Austria (for Austria), and ProSieben Schweiz (for Switzerland and Liechtenstein). Islam's significance in Germany has largely increased after the labour migration in the 1960s and several waves of political refugees since the 1970s. According to a representative survey, it is estimated that in 2019, there were 5.3–5.6 million Muslims with a migrant background in Germany (6.4–6.7% of the population), in addition to an unknown number of Muslims without a migrant background. A similar survey in 2016 estimated a number of 4.4–4.7 million Muslims with a migrant background (5.4–5.7% of the population) at that time. An older survey in 2009 estimated a total number of up to 4.3 Muslims in Germany at that time.
