Ahmet Çakı
Ahmet Çakı (born June 22, 1975) is a Turkish professional basketball coach. He was most recently the head coach for Çağdaş Bodrumspor of the Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL). Coaching career On June 20, 2016, Çaki was appointed as head coach of Alba Berlin of the German Basketball Bundesliga. On June 20, 2018, Çaki returned to Darüşşafaka for a second stint as the new head coach. On November 26, 2021, he has signed with Tofaş of the Turkish Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL). Basketball coaching is the act of directing and strategizing the behavior of a basketball team or individual basketball player. Basketball coaching typically encompasses the improvement of individual and team offensive and defensive skills, as well as overall physical conditioning. The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) (English language: ''Federal Basketball League''), for sponsorship reasons named easyCredit BBL, is the highest level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 18 teams. A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage. At the end of the league stage, the top eight teams qualify for the playoff stage, and the teams positioned in the 17th and 18th places are relegated to a lower-tier league. The Basketball Super League ( tr, Basketbol Süper Ligi; BSL), also known as the Türkiye Sigorta Basketbol Süper Ligi for sponsorship reasons, is the top men's professional basketball division of the Turkish basketball league system. It replaced the former Turkish Basketball Championship (1946–1966) to become the Turkish Basketball League (TBL) until 2015 when it adopted its current name while the TBL name became exclusive to the second-tier and third-tier divisions.
