Ahmadu Bello University
Ahmadu Bello University Zaria is a federal government research university in Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria. ABU was founded on 4 October 1962, as the pioneer university in Northern Nigeria. It was founded and named after the Sardauna of Sokoto, Alhaji Sir Ahmadu Bello, the first premier of Northern Nigeria. The university operates two campuses: Samaru (main) and Kongo in Zaria. There is a pre-degree school in Funtua, it is approximately 85 Kilometres from the main campus of the university. The Samaru campus houses the administrative offices and the faculties of physical sciences, life sciences, social sciences, arts and languages, education, environmental design, engineering, medical sciences, agricultural sciences and research centres. Afakriya Gadzama
Afakriya Aduwa Gadzama mni OFR (22 November 1953) is a Nigerian security officer who is the Chairman of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies. He previously served as Director General of the State Security Service (SSS) under President Umaru Yar'Adua from August 2007 to September 2010. Nigerian Academy Of Science
The Nigerian Academy of Science is the official science academy of Nigeria. The academy of science was established on 18 January 1977, as an association of Nigeria's foremost scientists, but incorporated in 1986. It is the apex scientific organization in Nigeria. The Academy acts as a scientific advisor to the Federal Government of Nigeria, funds research fellowships, and scientific start-up companies. The Academy is governed by its council, which is chaired by the academy's president, according to a set of Statutes and Bye-laws. Andrew Jonathan Nok
Andrew Jonathan Nok, NNOM (11 February 1962 – 21 November 2017) was a Nigerian Professor of Biochemistry and the public affairs secretary of the Nigerian Academy of Science. In 2010 he was a recipient of the Nigerian National Order of Merit Award (NNOM), in the Science category and in 2013 he won the Alexander Humboldt Prize. He died on 21st November 2017 after a brief illness. Early life Nok was born on 11 February 1962 in Kaduna State, Northern Nigeria. His parents were from Nok village in the Jaba Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Adamu Sidi Ali
Adamu Muhammad Sidi-Ali (born 14 May 1952) is a Nigerian politician and farmer. He has run successfully for the offices of Chairman (Abaji Area council) and for the House of Representatives beginning in the early 2000s. Abdullahi Mustapha (born 1 February 1948) is a Nigerian Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and former Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He was succeeded by Ibrahim Garba as the VC of the University. Aminu Shuaibu Safana (April 1961 – October 17, 2007) was a Nigerian politician who represented the Batsari/Safana/ Danmusa constituency of Katsina State in the House of Representatives. Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi (born 8 August 1956) is a Nigerian politician and the former Chairman of the People's Democratic Party.
