Agnes Van Stolk
Agnes Johanna Elisabeth van Stolk (1898-1980) was a Dutch artist. Biography Stolk was born on 16 November 1898 in Hof van Delft. She attended the ''Vrije Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten'' (Free Academy of Visual Art) in the Hague. She studied with Berend Adrianus Bongers, Francis de Erdely, , , and Johan Tielens. Her work was included in the 1939 exhibition and sale '' Onze Kunst van Heden'' (Our Art of Today) at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. She was a member of the ''Haagse Kunstkring The Haagse Kunstkring (English The Hague Art Circle) is an association in The Hague for artists and art lovers. Hof Van Delft
Hof van Delft ("Court of Delft") is a former municipality in the Netherlands, Dutch province of South Holland. It was located to the west of the city of Delft, and covered the villages of Den Hoorn (South Holland), Den Hoorn, Abtswoude, and 't Woudt. The municipality existed from 1817 to 1921, when it became a part of Delft. Vrije Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten (Free Academy of Visual Art) was an art school in The Hague, Netherlands. It was founded in 1947 by Livinus van de Bundt. Onze Kunst Van Heden
Onze Kunst van Heden (Contemporary Artists/Our Art of Today) was an exhibition held in the winter of 1939 through 1940 at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Due to the threat of invasion in the years leading up to World War II, the Netherlands' government stored many items from the Rijksmuseum's permanent collection. The resulting empty gallery space was utilized by contemporary Dutch artists to exhibit and sell their art. It was organized by the director of the Rijksmuseum . The show was open to all artists, with each artist allowed to enter four pieces. 902 artists exhibited 3,200 works of art in 74 rooms and cabinets of the Rijksmuseum. The Rijksmuseum () is the national museum of the Netherlands dedicated to Dutch arts and history and is located in Amsterdam.
