''Africadalli Sheela'' ( Sheela in Africa) is a 1986 Indian Kannada-language fantasy film, fantasy-adventure film, adventure film, written, directed and produced by Dwarakish. Made on the similar lines as the Hollywood film ''Sheena (film), Sheena'', the film was extensively shot in the forest ranges in the African continent. This film was the first Indian film to have been shot in the African forests. The film featured Charan Raj and Sahila in the lead roles, along with Dwarakish, Srinivasa Murthy and Kalyan Kumar in supporting roles. The music was composed by Bappi Lahiri, with lyrics by Chi. Udaya Shankar and R. N. Jayagopal. Dwarakish remade the film in Tamil as ''Kizhakku Africavil Sheela'', which starred Suresh (actor), Suresh, Nizhalgal Ravi and Sahila reprising her character, while she went on to reprise her character in its Hindi remake, titled ''Sheela'', starring Nana Patekar. Bungle Shama Rao Dwarakanath (born 19 August 1942), better known as Dwarakish ( ), is an Indian actor, director and producer in the Kannada film industry. He was given the name Dwarakish by Kannada film maker C. V. Shivashankar. Early life Dwarakish was born on 19 August 1942. He grew up in Ittigegud, Mysore. He received his primary education in Sharada Vilas and Banumaiah's school, and he graduated from CPC Polytechnic with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. After completing his education, Dwarakish and his brother started an automotive spare-parts business called "Bharath Auto Spares" in Gandhi Square, Mysore. He was strongly attracted to acting and often asked his maternal uncle, a famous cinema director Hunusur Krishnamurthy, to give him a chance to act in movies.
