Affiance is an American metalcore band from Cleveland, Ohio, formed in 2007. They released one EP prior to their debut album '' No Secrets Revealed'', which was released on Bullet Tooth Records in December 2010. Vocalist Dennis Tvrdik sings of political and religious issues. History Formation and first EP (2007–2009) Affiance formed and released their first 6-track EP entitled '' Calm Before the Storm'' in late 2007. After minimal success with the EP, the band signed a deal with Bullet Tooth records to begin production of their debut album. Signing to Bullet Tooth Records and debut length album (2010) With their first EP released, the band began their first nationwide tour with Across The Sun and No Bragging Rights. ''The Campaign'' is the second full-length album by American metal band Affiance. The album was relatively well received. Vocalist Dennis Tvrdik stated, "The vast majority of people like it. It rubbed some people the wrong way and to be honest, I’m glad it did. I don’t expect every person to agree with us or be our fan. There are a lot of people out there I don’t want at our shows because they are a part of the problem with the music scene. We want to be part of the solution." Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. Overview On June 27, 2014, Affiance announced and released their first single, "Limitless", from their new full-length, ''Blackout'', in the form of a lyric video. The Word Alive is an American metalcore band formed in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2008. The band was signed to Fearless Records since their formation. In 2022, they changed their label and signed to Thriller Records. The band currently consists of vocalist Tyler Smith and guitarist Zack Hansen. The group has had several line-up changes throughout their career, with Hansen as the only remaining founding member.
