Afa Anoaʻi Jr.
Afa Anoa'i Jr. (born October 6, 1984) is an American professional wrestler. He is best known for his appearances with the professional wrestling promotion WWE in the late 2000s under the ring name Manu. Early life and education Anoa'i attended Freedom High School in Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania, where he competed in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference, known for producing top athletic talent in football, wrestling, and other sports. Anoai's high school football coach Jim Morgans described him as "the best defensive lineman I've coached." As a senior, Anoa'i was named one of the 100 best football players in the United States by analyst Tom Lemming. The University of Connecticut (UConn) is a public land-grant research university in Storrs, Connecticut, a village in the town of Mansfield. Tom Lemming is an American high school football recruiting analyst. Tom Lemming serves as the host of ''The Lemming Report'' on CBS Sports Network, the only national weekly high school football recruiting show. He is the editor of ''The Tom Lemming Prep Football Report'', considered by many to be "the bible" of college football recruiting. Lemming, a Chicago native, got his start as a stringer for suburban Chicago weeklies covering high school football games. Deep South Wrestling (DSW) is a professional wrestling promotion in the state of Georgia. Deep South worked in tandem with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) as a developmental territory from September 1, 2005, until April 18, 2007. Deep South was owned by Jody Hamilton, former director of the WCW Power Plant. A professional wrestling promotion is a company or business that regularly performs shows involving professional wrestling that has little relationship to the rules of the amateur olympic form. "Promotion" also describes a role which entails management, advertising and logistics of running a wrestling event (''see promoter'').
