Aeroportos do Paraná ( en, Airports of Paraná) is the department of airports infrastructure of the state of Paraná in Brazil. Aeroportos do Paraná was originally part of the ''Secretaria de Estado de Transportes do Estado do Paraná'' ( en, Transportation Secretariat of the State of Paraná), but state law 16,841/2011 created the ''Secretaria de Infraestrutura e Logística'' ( en, Infrastructure and Logistics Secretariat), which became then responsible for the operational support of 35 public airports within the state, in partnership with the Municipalities where they are located, and in accordance to directives from the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC). Castro, Paraná
Castro is a municipality in the state of Paraná in the Southern Region of Brazil. In 2020 it had a population of 71,809 people. The main road running through the town is the PR-151 road. Economy Castrolanda is a colony that was founded by Dutch immigrants between 1951 and 1954. Testament to this there is a windmill in Castro. Its economy is based on agricultural production and dairy farming which is one of the most important in this region that is considered the largest dairy in Brazil due to their genetic quality. Guaratuba
Guaratuba is a city in the state of Paraná, Brazil. Founded on 1765, it is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches of Paraná. History The King of Portugal, Dom Jose I, worried about possible foreign raids on the Brazilian coast, commanded that villages and towns be established in more suitable locations to the projecting or dispersed small farms where the conditions were favourable. It was decided that a town should be founded between the villages of Paranaguá and of the River San Francisco. On 5 December 1765, Dom Luis sent a group of settlers to begin building the town. This comprised 200 couples, who would cultivate discovered lands. Thus Guaratuba began to take shape. In July 1766, the Conde de Oeiras directed Dom Luis praising, on behalf of the King, the projects to establish the population in the cove of Guaratuba and informed him that the King wished that the new village bear his name, S. Guarapuava
Guarapuava (population: 182,644) is a municipality in the state of Paraná in Brazil. It is the largest municipality in that state by area. Guarapuava is located at 25°23'36" south and 51°27'19" west. The region is known as the centre of the state of Paraná, in the third plateau, also called the Plateau of Guarapuava. Discovered by the Portuguese in 1770, and founded in 1810, the city's name comes from ''tupi guarani'', meaning ''place of Maned wolves sound'' (Maned wolves are called ''Lobos-guará'' in portuguese). Its elevation is 1120 m (3675 ft). The first families to settle in the city were formed through the Tropeiros. These families had their roots in Poland, Italy and Germany. Guaíra, Paraná
Guaíra is a municipality in the state of Paraná in the Southern Region of Brazil. The population is 33,310 (2020 est.) in an area of 560 km². The elevation is 517 m. This place name comes from the Tupi language and means "place difficult to access". The city is served by Guaíra Airport. Francisco Beltrão, established on December 14, 1952, is a municipality in the state of Paraná in Brazil. In 2010, the population was 80,727, of which 85% lived in the city proper and 15% on the surrounding land. Francisco Beltrão is very close to two other cities, Marmeleiro and Renascença. Its economy is based on agriculture, corn crops, turkey and chicken meat exports, textiles, aluminium pans, mobile industries, public services and small commerce. Cornélio Procópio
Cornélio Procópio is a municipality in the state of Paraná in the Southern Region of Brazil. The city is served by Francisco Lacerda Junior Airport. History It was thus named in honor of Colonel Cornélio Procópio de Araújo Carvalho, a prominent figure in the Empire during the late 19th century. The colonel was the patron of the railway station at km 125, which is the landmark of the entire economic expansion of the region in which the city is located. Colonel Procópio, who died in 1909, left nine children, including Maria Balbina Procópio Junqueira, married to his second cousin, Francisco da Cunha Junqueira, owner of Gleba Laranjinha, who named the town of Santa Mariana, which until then was just a farm.
