''Aelay'' is a 2021 Indian Tamil language, Tamil-language comedy drama television film written and directed by Halitha Shameem, and produced by S. Sashikanth and Chakravarthy Ramachandra, Ramachandra of YNOT Studios while creative produced by Pushkar–Gayathri of Wallwatcher Films. Co-produced by Reliance Entertainment, The film stars Samuthirakani and K. Manikandan, Manikandan, and has music composed by Kaber Vasuki and Aruldev, with cinematography handled by Theni Eswar and editing done by Shameem and Raymond Derrick Crasta respectively. The film was scheduled for theatrical release on 12 February 2021, but the producers later opted for a direct television premiere through Star Vijay on 28 February 2021 and internationally on Netflix on 5 March 2021. YNOT Studios (stylised as Y?NOT) is an Indian film production company in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, established by producer S. Sashikanth. As of 2020, the company has produced 18 feature films, which includes productions made in the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi film industries of India. Chakravarthy Ramachandra is an Indian film producer. After beginning his career as an independent producer through the Bad Monkey production house, he later joined YNOT Studios as its CEO. Career After completing a diploma at the London Film Academy in 2005, Chakravarthy Ramachandra debuted in the film industry as a supporting actor in the Telugu comedy film ''Mr. Errababu'' (2005), where he also doubled up as the film's line producer. In December 2005, Ramachandra launched his first production through the Ideaz Production banner with Shashank and Rajeev Kanakala selected for the lead roles.
