''Adventurers of the North — Kalevala Heroes'' (''ANKH'') is a Finnish role-playing game published by Nelospelit in 1988. It was highly derivative of other roleplaying games and despite its Finnish cultural details, was not a commercial success. Description ''ANKH'' was written by Pasi Janhunen and illustrated by Janhunen and cartoonist Petri Hiltunen. The design and gameplay of ''ANKH'' is similar to the original ''Dungeons & Dragons'' game, with some elements borrowed from ''RuneQuest''. A review in the Finnish role-playing game magazine ''Sininen Lohikäärme'' compared the game system to that of ''Tunnels & Trolls''. Petri Hiltunen
Petri Hiltunen (born 13 October 1967) is a Finnish cartoonist and illustrator. Hiltunen has produced work in a variety of genres, but is most notable for his fantasy and horror work. He has won the prestigious Puupäähattu award in 2002, which is regarded as the highest honour for Finnish comic artists. He is also a well-known figure in Finnish science fiction fandom and a regular panelist and guest of honour at conventions, such as Finncon. The Iron Age is the final epoch of the three-age division of the prehistory and protohistory of humanity. Finnish mythology is a commonly applied description of the folklore of Finnish paganism, of which a modern revival is practiced by a small percentage of the Finnish people.
