Adrin Nazarian
Adrin Nazarian ( hy, Ադրին Նազարեան; born March 19, 1973) is an American politician of Armenian descent who served in the California State Assembly until 2022. A Democrat, he represented the 46th Assembly District which encompasses the central-southern San Fernando Valley. He is of Armenian descent and Chair of the California Armenian Legislative Caucus and a member of the California Legislative Jewish Caucus. Biography Adrin Nazarian was born in Iran. As a child, he immigrated with his family to the San Fernando Valley in Southern California. He grew up there and received his BA degree in Economics from UCLA in 1996. After graduating UCLA, Nazarian participated in the Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs. From 1997 to 1999, he served as an aide to Congressman Brad Sherman (D-CA), assisting him with business and labor community issues. Coro (non-profit Organization)
Coro is an American non-partisan, non-profit organization best known for its fellowship program dedicated to teaching skills useful in leadership in public affairs to young adults. The organization was founded in San Francisco in 1942 by W. Donald Fletcher, an attorney, and Van Duyn Dodge, an investment counselor. Their premise was based on the realization that, unlike law, business or medicine, post graduate training in the area of leadership was non existent, and they wanted to train young veterans in the leadership skills necessary to assure that our democratic system of government could more effectively meet the needs of its citizens. Los Angeles City Council
The Los Angeles City Council is the legislative body of the Los Angeles, City of Los Angeles in California. The council is composed of 15 members elected from single-member districts for four-year terms.
