Adrien Quatennens
Adrien Quatennens (; born 23 May 1990) is a French politician who has represented Nord's 1st constituency in the National Assembly since 2017. From June 2019 until September 2022, he was also the party coordinator of La France Insoumise (LFI). Quatennens was first elected to the National Assembly in the 2017 legislative election before he was reelected in 2022. Early life and education Adrien Quatennens was born on 23 May 1990 in Lille, Nord. His father is an executive of Électricité de France (EDF), France's public electric utility company, and his mother is a salesperson in an eyeglasses store. Quatennens became involved in politics at the age of 16, participating in the 2006 youth protests in France against the First Employment Contract. He is also a member of organizations supporting homeless people as well as ATTAC, a group advocating the taxation of foreign exchange transactions. La France Insoumise
La France Insoumise (FI or LFI; ; "France Unbowed") is a left-wing populist political party in France, launched in 2016 by Jean-Luc Mélenchon, then a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) and former co-president of the Left Party (PG). It aims to implement the eco-socialist and democratic socialist programme ''L'Avenir en commun'' (). The party nominated Mélenchon as its candidate for the presidential election of 2017. He came fourth in the first round, receiving 19.5% of the vote and failing to qualify for the second round by around 2%. After the legislative election of 2017, La France Insoumise formed a parliamentary group of 17 members of the National Assembly, with Mélenchon as the group's president. Bondues
Bondues (; nl, Bonduwe) is a commune in the Nord department in northern France. Since 1997, Bondues has housed a Museum devoted to the Resistance of the Nord-Pas de Calais region. The Fort of Bondues, also known as Fort Lobau, was built near the confluence of the Marque and Deûle rivers, by General Séré de Rivières, from 1877 to 1880. It is an element of the chain of forts and fortifications constituting the defence system around Lille. It was the place of execution of 68 members of the resistance in 1943/4. Renaissance (RE), previously known as La République En Marche ! (frequently abbreviated LREM, LaREM or REM; translated as "The Republic on the Move" or "Republic Forward"), or sometimes called simply En Marche ! The 2017 French presidential election was held on 23 April and 7 May 2017. As no candidate won a majority in the first round, a runoff was held between the top two candidates, Emmanuel Macron of En Marche!
