Dali, Cyprus
Dali (or Dhali; el, Δάλι; tr, Dali) is a large village in Cyprus, located south east of the capital Nicosia and close to the ancient city of Idalion. In 2001, it had a population of 5,834. By 2011, the population had almost doubled to 10,466. Ancient Idalion Idalium was an ancient city on place of modern Dali, Nicosia District. The city was founded on the copper trade in the 3rd millennium BC. Recent excavations have uncovered major buildings on the site which are open to visitors. A new museum is also near to the site. The ancient city was located in the fertile Gialias valley and flourished there as an economic centre due to its location close to the mines in the eastern foothills of the Troodos Mountains and its proximity to the cities and ports on the south and east coast. Cypriot Second Division
The Cypriot Second Division ( el, Πρωτάθλημα Β΄ Κατηγορίας) is the second highest football division of the Cypriot football league system. Administrated by the Cyprus Football Association, it is contested by 16 teams, with the top two teams being promoted to the Cypriot First Division and the last four teams being relegated to the Cypriot Third Division. History The Cypriot Second Division started unofficially the 1934–35 football season as the second level of the Cypriot football (Cyprus Football Association founded in 1934). The competition consisted of teams that didn't participate in Cypriot First Division and the reserve teams of the Cypriot First Division clubs. Each year, the top finishing teams of the league are promoted to the Cypriot Second Division, and the lowest finishing teams are relegated to the STOK Elite Division. The Cypriot Fourth Division ( el, Τέταρτη Κατηγορία) was the fourth tier association football, football league competition in Cyprus, ran by the Cyprus Football Association. Each year, the top finishing teams of the league were promoted to the Cypriot Third Division, and the lowest finishing teams were relegated to the amateur leagues. Cypriot Cup For Lower Divisions
The Cypriot Cup for lower divisions is a domestic cup for the teams who participate in the Cypriot Third Division and in the STOK Elite Division (ex Fourth Division). Format It was created in the 2008–09 season by Cyprus Football Association. Participation in this cup is not compulsory, so the number of the clubs that participate is different each year. The competition is a knockout tournament. The matches in the first two rounds are single-legged and the matches in quarterfinals and semifinals are two-legged. The final is a single match played in neutral ground. The winner and the finalist of the cup are receiving a respectful amount of money by CFA as a bonus prize. 2013–14 Cypriot Cup For Lower Divisions
The 2013–14 Cypriot Cup for lower divisions was the 6th edition of the Cypriot Cup for lower divisions. A total of 18 clubs entered the competition. It began on 30 October 2012 with the first round and concluded on 6 April 2014 with the final which was held at Dasaki Stadium. Adonis Idaliou won their 1st cup trophy after beating Elpida Xylofagou 2–0 in the final. Format Only teams from the Cypriot Third Division and Cypriot Fourth Division could participate. Participation was not compulsory. 18 of 29 participated that season. The competition consisted of five rounds. In the first and in the second round each tie was played as a single leg and was held at the home ground of the one of the two teams, according to the draw results.
