Adolphe Lecours (January 23, 1878 – July 6, 1955) was a Canadian sports executive. Biography Lecours was the president of the L'Association athletique d'amateurs le National in 1910 when the Club Athletique-Canadien, owned by George Kennedy purchased the Montreal Canadiens professional ice hockey team. Lecours became the second head coach of the Montreal Canadiens. He coached the team for only the one season 1910–11. His record that one year was 8-8-0. George Kennedy (sports Promoter)
George Washington Kendall (December 29, 1881 – October 19, 1921), known professionally as George Kennedy, was a Canadian sports promoter best known as the owner of the Montreal Canadiens ice hockey team from 1910 to 1921. Kennedy was a wrestler himself and after the end of his wrestling career turned to wrestling promotion. Kendall along with other investors, formed the Club Athletique Canadien, and promoted wrestling, boxing, hockey and other sports. He would contract the Spanish flu during the pandemic of the late 1910s and never fully recovered from it, causing him to eventually succumb to complications from the illness in 1921, after the pandemic ended. 1910–11 Montreal Canadiens Season
The 1910–11 Montreal Canadiens season was the team's second season and also the second season of the National Hockey Association (NHA). The club would improve to an 8–8 record, second in the league. It was the first season for Georges Vezina and he would lead the league in goals against average (GAA) with a record of 3.9 goals per game. Newsy Lalonde joined the team from Renfrew and led the team with 19 goals. Team business This was the first season under new owner George Kennedy. After the 1910 NHA season, Kennedy who was an owner of the Club Athlétique-Canadien claimed the name 'Canadiens'. Jack Laviolette
Jean-Baptiste "Jack" Laviolette (July 17, 1879 – January 10, 1960) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player. Laviolette played nine seasons for the Montreal Canadiens hockey club and was their first captain, coach, and general manager. Laviolette was one of the first francophone stars of ice hockey. He was born in Belleville, Ontario, but grew up in Valleyfield, Quebec. He was a solid scorer from the defenceman position, but Laviolette's true place in hockey history has less to do with his scoring prowess and more to do with his role as a founding organizer of the Canadiens hockey club.
