Aditya Arya
Aditya Arya is a commercial and travel photographer. He began professional photography in 1980 after graduating in History from the St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University. He was involved in the establishment of India Photo Archive Foundation and the Neel Dongre Awards/Grants for Excellence in Photography. He has been on the Jury of the National Art Exhibition 2014 organised by Lalit Kala Akademi and a guest faculty member at Sri Aurobindo Centre of Art and Communication and at the Jamia Millia Islamia University’s Institute of Mass Communication. He was also the Director at the Academy for Photographic Excellence (APEX) and a Guest Fellow and Curator at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla. India Photo Archive Foundation
The India Photo Archive Foundation is a Public Charitable Trust engaged in digitising, annotating, and preserving photographic archives. This came out as a result of Aditya Arya Archive by Aditya Arya, a photographer in India. The Foundation has been active since 2009. Vision The aim of the Foundation is preservation of photographic data for use of future generations. The idea is to preserve the original as well as create a digital version of negatives and prints so that a visual history database can be created. This is to enable the discourse on history to be extended to a larger population as the medium is visual rather than literal. The Foundation uses exhibitions, publications and the internet as media to share the works of the archives it has access to. Lalit Kala Akademi
The Lalit Kala Akademi or National Academy of Art (LKA) is India's national academy of fine arts. It is an autonomous organisation, established in New Delhi in 1954 by Government of India to promote and propagate understanding of Indian art, in and outside the country. Jamia Millia Islamia () is a central university located in New Delhi, India. Originally established at Aligarh, United Provinces (present-day Uttar Pradesh, India) during the British Raj in 1920, it moved to its current location in Okhla in 1935. It was given the deemed status by University Grants Commission in 1962. On 26 December 1988, it became a central university. The foundation committee of the university included Abdul Bari Firangi Mahali, Hussain Ahmad Madani, Muhammad Iqbal, Sanaullah Amritsari, Syed Mehmood and others. Jal Mahal
Jal Mahal (meaning "Water Palace") is a palace in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur city, the capital of the state of Rajasthan, India. The palace was originally constructed in 1699; the building and the lake around it were later renovated and enlarged in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber. The Palace The Jal Mahal palace is an architectural showcase of the Rajput style of architecture (common in Rajasthan) on a grand scale.
