Adelmo E I Suoi Sorapis
Adelmo e i suoi Sorapis is an Italian Supergroup (music), supergroup led by singer songwriter Zucchero Fornaciari. The group includes Maurizio Vandelli (former lead member of ''Equipe 84''), Dodi Battaglia (member of ''Pooh (band), Pooh''), Umbi Maggi (former bass guitarist of ''Nomadi''), Fio Zanotti (conductor and arranger) and Michele Torpedine (record producer). The band formed in 1989, when they met in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Cortina, at the foot of Sorapis mountain, all to be there on vacation. Since then they played together almost every year-end. They published their first and only album in 1993, ''Walzer d'un blues''. The group then made a short tour to promote the album with dates in Milan, Rome and Bethlehem. After several years of hiatus the group reunited in Sanremo Music Festival 2009, performing the song "Spiove il sole" together with Zucchero's daughter Irene Fornaciari. A supergroup is a musical group whose members are successful as solo artists or as members of other successful groups. The term became popular in the late 1960s when members of already successful rock groups recorded albums together, after which they normally disband. Charity supergroups, in which prominent musicians perform or record together in support of a particular cause, have been common since the 1980s. Sorapis
Sorapiss, also referred to as Sorapis or Punta Sorapiss, is a mountain in the Dolomites within the Veneto region of northern Italy. Situated in the ''comune'' of Cortina d'Ampezzo, it has an elevation of . In its vicinity is a mountain pass of the same name, as well as Sorapiss Lake (Lago di Sorapiss), at the foot of the mountain. The mountain range is part of the "Natural Park of the Ampezzo Dolomites". Description Sorapiss, with its huge perpendicular faces, forms part of the mountainous backdrop to the resort town of Cortina, situated roughly to the southeast of the town. Irene Fornaciari (born 24 December 1983) is an Italian singer-songwriter. She participated in the Sanremo Festival in 2009 in the category "New Proposals" but became famous in the 2010 participating, along with Nomadi, in the category "Artists" with the song '' Il mondo piange''. Sanremo Music Festival 2009
The Sanremo Music Festival 2009 was the 59th annual Sanremo Music Festival. It was held at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo, province of Imperia, during the five nights between 17 February 2009 and 21 February 2009, and it was broadcast by Rai 1. Tha last night of the show was also broadcast live by RTV21 in Albania, RTK in Kosovo and by RSI in Switzerland. The artistic director of the contest was Paolo Bonolis, supported by Gianmarzo Mazzi. Bonolis also presented the show, together with Luca Laurenti. The competition was divided into two different sections. The "Big Artists" section included sixteen well-known singers, performing a previously unheard song, and it was won by Marco Carta's "La forza mia". The "Newcomers" section, featuring ten debuting or little known artists, was won by Arisa, performing the song "Sincerità". For the first time, a third section was added. ''La Stampa'' (meaning ''The Press'' in English) is an Italian daily newspaper published in Turin, Italy. It is distributed in Italy and other European nations. It is one of the oldest newspapers in Italy. History and profile The paper was founded by Vittorio Bersezio, a journalist and novelist, in February 1867 with the name ''Gazzetta Piemontese''. Adelmo Fornaciari (; born 25 September 1955), more commonly known by his stage name Zucchero Fornaciari or simply Zucchero (), is an Italian singer, musician and songwriter. His stage name is the Italian word for "sugar", as his elementary teacher used to call him. His music is largely inspired by gospel, soul, blues and rock music, and alternates between Italian ballads and more rhythmic R&B-boogie-like pieces. Fio Zanotti
Fio Zanotti (born Fiorenzo Zanotti on 20 November 1949) is an Italian record producer, arranger, conductor, composer and multiinstrumentalist. Born in Bologna, Zanotti graduated from the conservatory of his hometown as a conductor. His first musical experiences were as an accordionist in the Linetti Orchestra, and an organist in the musical group Judas. In 1980 he started a long collaboration with Loredana Bertè.
