Schwarzer Grat
The Schwarze Grat between Eschachthal (Buchenberg), Eschachthal in the Bavarian county of Oberallgäu and Bolsternang in the Baden-Württemberg county of Landkreis Ravensburg, Ravensburg is and thus the highest mountain in Ravensburg, in the Regierungsbezirk Tübingen, province of Tübingen (Baden-Württemberg) and the Adelegg range, although within the Adelegg region it is topped by the Ursersberg (1,129 m). An observation tower, the Schwarzer Grat Tower stands at the summit. Geography Location The Schwarzer Grat stands in the southwest of Baden-Württemberg and belongs to the small mountain range of Adelegg, which is roughly north of the Allgäu Alps and extends far into the northern Alpine Foreland. The boundary with Bavaria and the county of Oberallgäu runs just under 300 metres southeast of the top. Allgäu Alps
The Allgäu Alps (german: Allgäuer Alpen) are a mountain range in the Northern Limestone Alps, located in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg in Germany and Tyrol and Vorarlberg in Austria. The range lies directly east of Lake Constance. Character The mountain range is characterised by an unusual variety of rock formations and consequently a rich tapestry of landscapes, in particular, the steep " grass mountains" (''Grasberge'') of the Allgäu Alps with gradients of up to 70°. Its flora is amongst the most varied in the whole Alpine region and its accessibility by lifts and paths is outstanding. Westallgäu
Westallgäu is the western part of the Allgäu in Germany. It contains large parts of the districts of Lindau (district), Lindau in the south west of the region, Swabia in Bavaria and the district of Ravensburg (district), Ravensburg in the south east of Baden-Württemberg. Westallgäu extends to the north to, amongst others, the towns of Leutkirch im Allgäu, Leutkirch, Wangen im Allgäu, Wangen and Isny im Allgäu, Isny. Weitnau
Weitnau ( Low Alemannic: ''Witne'') is a municipality in the rural district Oberallgäu in Bavaria/Germany. Together with the neighboring municipality of Missen-Wilhams, Weitnau shares an administrative unit. Geography Weitnau is situated in the Allgäu region in the foothills of the Bavarian Alps. The municipality consists of the town Weitnau and the villages of Seltmans, Sibratshofen, Kleinweiler, Hellengerst, Rechtis and Wengen; in addition to that there are several small hamlets, most notably Waltrams, Gerholz, Engelhirsch, Eisenbolz, Ettensberg, Klausenmühle and Weilerle.
