Adele Griffin (born July 29, 1970) is an American fiction author, writing numerous novels for adults, young adults, and kids. Her novels ''Sons of Liberty'' and ''Where I Want to Be'' were both National Book Award finalists. Personal life Adele Griffin was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She lives with her husband and their two children in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California. Adele Laurie Blue Adkins (, ; born 5 May 1988), professionally known by the mononym Adele, is an English singer and songwriter. After graduating in arts from the BRIT School in 2006, Adele signed a record deal with XL Recordings. Her debut album, ''19 (Adele album), 19'', was released in 2008 and spawned the UK top-five singles "Chasing Pavements" and "Make You Feel My Love#Adele version, Make You Feel My Love".
