Adanac Ski Hill
Adanac Ski Hill is a downhill ski area within the city of Sudbury in Northeastern Ontario, Canada. It is owned and operated by the City of Greater Sudbury. The public facilities include a main chalet (which includes seating, storage, washrooms, and a canteen), a rental shack, and the Canadian Ski Patrol quarters. In the summer of 2017, the city of Greater Sudbury provided Adanac Ski Hill with a grant, of which it used to buy a new Doppelmayr quad lift, and it is now situated to the left of the old lift. Northeastern Ontario is a secondary region of Northern Ontario in the Canadian province of Ontario, which lies north of Lake Huron and east of Lake Superior. Northeastern Ontario consists of the districts of Algoma, Sudbury, Cochrane, Timiskaming, Nipissing and Manitoulin. For some purposes, Parry Sound District and Muskoka District Municipality are treated as part of Northeastern Ontario although they are geographically in Central Ontario. Sudbury, officially the City of Greater Sudbury is the largest city in Northern Ontario by population, with a population of 166,004 at the 2021 Canadian Census. Doppelmayr USA, Inc is an aerial lift manufacturer based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and a subsidiary of the worldwide Doppelmayr Garaventa Group. The United States company was formed in 2002 after the merger of Garaventa of Goldau, Switzerland, and Doppelmayr of Wolfurt, Austria. Between 2002 and 2010, the company was named Doppelmayr CTEC.
