Adam Nolan
Adam Nolan (born 11 March 1987) is an Irish retired boxer from Enniscorthy, County Wexford who qualified for the 2012 Olympics. Boxing career Adam is the second Wexford-born boxer to qualify for the Olympics, the first being his coach on the Irish team, Billy Walsh. He was the fifth Irish boxer to qualify for the 2012 Olympics. He is a club mate at Bray Boxing Club with five-time World Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist Katie Taylor. Bray was the only boxing club in the world who qualified two boxers to London 2012, and is the only boxing club in history to have a male and a female boxer feature in the Olympic games. Nolan finished in the top two at welterweight at the 2012 European Boxing Olympic Qualification Tournament which gained him qualification to the Olympics. He ultimately won the Qualification Tournament. Oulart–The Ballagh is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in County Wexford, Ireland. The club takes its players primarily from the area around the villages of Oulart and The Ballagh. Welterweight is a weight class in combat sports. Originally the term "welterweight" was used only in boxing, but other combat sports like Muay Thai, taekwondo, and mixed martial arts also use it for their own weight division system to classify the opponents. Wexford Senior Hurling Championship
The Wexford Senior Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Pettitt's SuperValu Senior Hurling Championship) is an annual hurling competition contested by top-tier Wexford GAA clubs. The Wexford County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association has organised it since 1889. Rapparees are the title holders (2022) after defeating St Martin's by 1-20 to 0-22 in the final. History The title has been won at least once by 28 different teams. The all-time record-holders are Rathnure who have won a total of 20 titles. Since 1994 the Wexford County Championship has been sponsored by Wexford-based supermarket Pettitt's SuperValu. It is one of the longest sponsorship deals of any county championship in Ireland. Enniscorthy () is the second-largest town in County Wexford, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. At the 2016 census, the population of the town and environs was 11,381. The town is located on the picturesque River Slaney and in close proximity to the Blackstairs Mountains and Ireland's longest beach, Curracloe. The town is twinned with Gimont, France.
