Adam Levine
Adam Noah Levine (; born March 18, 1979) is an American singer and songwriter. He serves as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the pop rock band Maroon 5. Levine began his musical career in 1994 with the band Kara's Flowers, of which he was the lead vocalist and lead guitarist. After the commercial failure of their only album, '' The Fourth World'', the group was reformed in 2001 as Maroon 5 – with James Valentine replacing him as lead guitarist. In 2002, they released their first album, ''Songs About Jane'', which went multi-platinum in the US; since then, they have released six more albums: ''It Won't Be Soon Before Long'' (2007), '' Hands All Over'' (2010), '' Overexposed'' (2012), '' V'' (pronounced: "five") (2014), ''Red Pill Blues'' (2017), and ''Jordi'' (2021). ''Overexposed'' is the fourth studio album by American pop rock band Maroon 5. It was released on June 20, 2012, by A&M Octone Records. The album was recorded between 2011 and 2012 and was driven after the moderate success of their third album, '' Hands All Over'' (2010), and later by the enormous success of the re-released edition, which was promoted by the single "Moves Like Jagger", recorded as a collaboration with Christina Aguilera. It is the band's only album not to feature keyboardist, rhythm guitarist and background vocalist Jesse Carmichael, who took a temporary break from performing with the group to focus on his studies and was replaced by musician PJ Morton. The Fourth World (album)
''The Fourth World'' is the second studio album and major label debut by the Los Angeles band Kara's Flowers, who later achieved greater success under the name Maroon 5. The album contains 11 tracks, plus one bonus track on the Japanese edition. The band, which had previously self-released an album called ''We Like Digging?'' (1995), signed with Reprise Records and released ''The Fourth World'' album on August 19, 1997. However, the band had little success with the album and parted with the record label two years later. The band continued to explore different musical styles until finally coming together again with James Valentine under the name Maroon 5. The ninth season of the American reality talent show ''The Voice'' premiered on September 21, 2015 on NBC. Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Pharrell Williams returned as coaches for the season. The fifth season of the American reality talent show ''The Voice'' premiered on September 23, 2013 on NBC. Adam Levine and Blake Shelton returned as coaches for their fifth season, while CeeLo Green and Christina Aguilera returned after being replaced by Usher and Shakira in season four.
