Adam Gee (referee)
Adam Gee is an Australian rugby league referee. Referee career Gee began refereeing in the Canterbury-Bankstown District when he was fourteen. He secured his first A grade appointment in 2004 and controlled two successive A grade Grand Finals in 2004 and 2005. He was graded by the NSWRL Referees Association in 2007. Gee controlled his first National Rugby League match in 2011 and was established as a regular first grade referee by 2014. He was announced as one of the match officials at the 2017 Rugby League World Cup, and controlled a match between Papua New Guinea and the United States. He controlled the final of the 2017 Women's Rugby League World Cup. Referee (rugby League)
Rugby league match officials are responsible for fairly enforcing the '' Laws of the Game'' from a neutral point of view during a match of rugby league football and imposing penalties for deliberate breaches of these Laws. The most senior match official is the ''referee''. They may be assisted by a range of other officials depending on the level and rules of the competition. NSWRL
The New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) is the governing body of rugby league in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory and is a member of the Australian Rugby League Commission. It was formed in Sydney on 8 August 1907 and was known as the New South Wales Rugby Football League (NSWRFL) until 1984. From 1908 to 1994, the NSWRL ran Sydney's, then New South Wales', and eventually Australia's top-level rugby league club competition from their headquarters (or "Bunker" as it was nicknamed during the Super League war) on Phillip Street, Sydney. The National Rugby League (NRL) is an Australasian rugby league club competition which contains clubs from New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory and New Zealand. The NRL formed in 1998 as a joint partnership between the Australian Rugby League Commission, Australian Rugby League (ARL) and media giant News Corporation-controlled Super League (Australia), Super League, in the aftermath of the 1990s Super League war, in which both ran parallel to each other in 1997. 2017 Rugby League World Cup
The 2017 Rugby League World Cup was the fifteenth staging of the Rugby League World Cup tournament and took place in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea between 27 October and 2 December 2017. The Papua New Guinea national rugby league team represents Papua New Guinea in the sport of rugby league football. The United States national rugby league team represents the United States in international rugby league football competitions. The team is managed by the USA Rugby League (USARL). The United States competed with little success in some international games during the 1950s, but did not return to consistent competition until 1987. 2017 Women's Rugby League World Cup
The 2017 Women's Rugby League World Cup was the fifth staging of the Women's Rugby League World Cup and was held in Australia between 16 November and 2 December 2017. Pool and semi-final matches was held at Southern Cross Group Stadium in Sydney, with the final held at Brisbane Stadium. The final was played as a double-header with the men's final. The match was played between the Indigenous All Stars and the Māori All Stars at Townsville, Queensland's Queensland Country Bank Stadium on 20 February 2021.
