Adair Viaduct
The Adair Viaduct is a historic structure located in Adair, Iowa, United States. It spans the Iowa Interstate Railroad tracks for . with In 1908 Adair County, Iowa, Adair County built the first bridge at this location over the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad tracks near the site of the 1873 Jesse James train robbery. Increased traffic by the 1920s necessitated its replacement. The Iowa State Highway Commission designed the three-span Arch bridge, open spandrel arch bridge. The Adair County Board of Supervisors awarded the $42,263 to build the bridge to the Federal Bridge Company of Des Moines, Iowa, Des Moines. White Pole Road
U.S. Highway 6 (US 6) is an east–west U.S. Highway which runs across the U.S. state of Iowa. The route is signed in places as the Grand Army of the Republic Highway. Like all state highway (Iowa), state highways in Iowa, it is maintained by the Iowa Department of Transportation. The route begins at the Missouri River crossing at Council Bluffs. From there, it travels east through Oakland, Iowa, Oakland and Atlantic. North of Atlantic, the highway concurrency (road), overlaps Interstate 80 (Iowa), Interstate 80 (I-80) until De Soto. Between De Soto and Adel, Iowa, Adel, the highway overlaps U.S. Highway 169 (Iowa), US 169 before splitting off to the east towards Des Moines.
