Académica Petróleo Kwanda Soyo best known as Académica do Soyo, is an Angolan football club based in Soyo, in the province of Zaire. They play their home games at the Estádio dos Imbondeiros. The club was relegated from the Angolan Premier Division, Girabola in the end of the 2007 championship. A court decision issued in 2018 determined the club's assets including the stadium and head-office to be seized. The 2006 Girabola was the 28th season of top-tier football in Angola. The season ran from 25 February to 26 November 2006. Sagrada Esperança were the defending champions. Académica Petróleos do Lobito, usually known as Académica Lobito, are a football (soccer) club from Lobito, Angola. The club was founded in 1970 as Académica da Chilimba by Mr. Geraldo Guiado and a few associates. In 1981, a sponsoring deal with Angolan state-owned oil company Sonangol resulted in the club's name to be changed to the current designation. They are competing in 2009 in the Girabola. Progresso Associação do Sambizanga is an Angolan football club based in Luanda. The club was founded in 1975, as a result of a merger of three clubs: Juventude Unida do Bairro Alfredo (JUBA), Juventista and Vaza. The 2011 Girabola was the 33rd season of top-tier football in Angola. The season ran from 12 March to 6 November 2011. Interclube were the defending champions, having won their 2nd Angolan championship in 2010. 16 teams were involved in the league and the bottom three teams were relegated to the 2012 Gira Angola. Recreativo Libolo were crowned champions, while FC Cabinda, Primeiro de Maio and Académica Lobito were relegated. Love Cabungula of Petro Luanda finished as top scorer with 20 goals.
