The 2012 Girabola was the 34th season of top-tier football in Angola. It ran from 3 March to 4 November 2012 and involved 16 teams, the bottom three of which were relegated to 2013 Segundona. Girabola
Girabola, or ''Campeonato Nacional de Futebol em Séniores Masculinos'', is the top division of Angolan football. It is organized by the Angolan Football Federation. The league winner and runner-up qualify for the CAF Champions League. Girabola ZAP In January 2016, Angolan subscription TV satellite and cable provider ZAP, the Angolan Football Federation and the Girabola clubs, signed a three-year deal in which ZAP will have broadcast rights over all Girabola matches. As part of the deal, the Angolan state-owned TV station TPA will be allowed to broadcast one game per week on its free-view platform. Also as part of the deal, the Girabola changes its denomination to Girabola ZAP. Atlético Sport Aviação, best known as ASA, is a football club from Luanda, Angola. The club was founded in 1953 by a group of workers from TAAG's predecessor DTA. Mr. Jacinto Medina was the first chairman. Before Angola's independence, the club was known as Atlético Sport Aviação . After independence, it was called Desportivo da TAAG, named after its major sponsor, the Angolan Airlines. In 1992, the club's name was reverted to its original ''ASA''. Alfredo Kulembe Ribeiro (born 27 March 1990), known as Fredy, is an Angolan professional footballer who plays for Turkish club Antalyaspor as a forward. He achieved totals of 108 games and 11 goals in Portugal's Primeira Liga with Belenenses and B-SAD, while winning the Segunda Liga with the former in 2013. He also played for one season in the Dutch Eredivisie with Excelsior Rotterdam and for several years at Antalyaspor in Turkey. Fernando Dinarte Santos Silva (born 3 October 1980), known simply as Fernando, is a Portuguese retired footballer. Mainly a central defender, he could also play as a defensive midfielder.
