The Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Republika Srpska ( sr, Академија наука и умјетности Републике Српске, АНУРС, Bosnian and Croatian ''Akademija nauka i umjetnosti Republike Srpske'', ANURS) is highest representative institution in the Republika Srpska of science and art founded in 1996. It has four departments – Department of Social Sciences, Department of Literature and Arts, Department of Natural, Mathematical and Technical Sciences and the Department of Medical Sciences. Banja Luka
Banja Luka ( sr-Cyrl, Бања Лука, ) or Banjaluka ( sr-Cyrl, Бањалука, ) is the second largest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the largest city of Republika Srpska. Banja Luka is also the ''de facto'' capital of this entity. Desanka Kovačević-Kojić
Desanka Kovačević-Kojić (; 3 October 1925 – 13 August 2022) was a Serbian medievalist, specialized in the medieval history of Serbia and Bosnia, and in particular urban history, trade and commercial relations. She left Sarajevo in 1993, after the Siege of Sarajevo had been imposed on her hometown and the Bosnian War was in full swing at that point. She settled in Belgrade, in Serbia, where she continued her work until her death. Desanka Kovačević-Kojić studied history at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Belgrade, graduating in 1950. She was professor at the University of Sarajevo, and since 1993 has worked in the Institute for History in Belgrade. During the 1960s, she spent a year with Radovan Samardžić in Paris, specializing in history at the seminary of Fernand Braudel. Momo Kapor
Momčilo "Momo" Kapor ( sr-cyr, Момчило Момо Капор; 8 April 1937 – 3 March 2010) was a Serbian novelist and painter. He authored several screenplays, over forty novels, short stories, travel and autobiographic books and essays. He was introduced to the literary circles as the author of radio, TV and theater drama at the beginning of the sixties. His books have been translated to twenty languages. Peter Handke
Peter Handke (; born 6 December 1942) is an Austrian novelist, playwright, translator, poet, film director, and screenwriter. He was awarded the 2019 Nobel Prize in Literature "for an influential work that with linguistic ingenuity has explored the periphery and the specificity of human experience." Milorad Ekmečić
Milorad Ekmečić ( sh-Cyrl, Милорад Екмечић; 4 October 1928 – 29 August 2015) was a Yugoslav and Serbian historian. During World War II he became a member of the Yugoslav Partisans after the fascist Ustaše perpetrated the Prebilovci massacre, in which 78 members of his family were killed, including his father. He studied at the University of Zagreb and went on to be a professor at the University of Sarajevo, and later at the University of Belgrade. Gojko Đogo (Serbian Cyrillic: Гојко Ђого; born 21 November 1940) is a Serb poet.
