The Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Spain ( es, Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España, links=no) is a professional organisation dedicated to the promotion and development of Spanish cinema. Founded in 1986, it is responsible for the annual Goya Awards, Spain's principal film awards. It is headquartered in Madrid. It is a founding member of the Film Academy Network Europe (FAN) and the Ibero-American Federation of Academies of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences (FIACINE). José Luis Borau
José Luis Borau Moradell (8 August 1929 – 23 November 2012) was a Spanish producer, screenwriter, writer, and film director. He won the Goya Award for Best Director in 2000 for '' Leo''. Borau was born in Zaragoza. In addition to directing, he acted in some films, including ''Everyone Off to Jail'' in 1993. He was president of the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (1994–1998), and member of the jury at the 41st Berlin International Film Festival in 1991. In February 2008 he was elected to the B seat of the Real Academia Española. Borau died on 23 December 2012 aged 83 in Madrid from a throat cancer. Career Born in Zaragoza. Mariano Barroso (born 26 December 1959) is a Spanish film director and screenwriter. He has directed more than 20 films since 1982. Yvonne Blake
Yvonne Ann Blake (17 April 1940 – 17 July 2018) was a British-Spanish costume designer. She won an Academy Award for Best Costume Design for the film ''Nicholas and Alexandra'' along with Antonio Castillo. She won four Goya Awards and was nominated for BAFTA Awards and the Emmy Awards as well. On 14 July 2016 she took the Presidency of the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Spain. On 9 June 2018 Mariano Barroso replaced her in the Presidency due to her health problems. Blake died in Madrid on 17 July 2018 at age 78 from complications from a stroke. Antonio Fernández Resines (born 7 August 1954) professionally known as Antonio Resines, is a Spanish film and television actor known for his performance in comedy films and series. Biography He was born 'by accident' on 7 August 1954 in Torrelavega, as his parents spent their Summer holidays there, but he was raised in Madrid, son of José Ramón Fernández Quevedo, lawyer, and Amalia Resines Ruiz de Rebolledo, who died on 10 July 2011. Eduardo Campoy Sanz-Orrio (born 21 September 1955) is a Spanish film producer. He has also worked as director. Life and career Eduardo Campoy Sanz-Orrio was born in León on 21 September 1955.
