Abu Qutaibah Al Majali
Abdel Majid al-Majali ( ar, عبد المجيد المجالي) Also known as Abu Qutaibah al Majali ( ar, أبو قتيبة المجالي) and Abu Qutayba al-Ordony ( ar, أبو قتيبة الأردني) is a Salafi jihadist from Al Karak who recruited Abu Musab al-Zarqawi to fight in Afghanistan. He was one of participants in the Afghan Arabs، and the manager of Maktab al-Khidamat in Jordan. his older son qutaibah is fighting with Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant and his other son yusef returned from fighting with ISIS. He was arrested in 2014 because of encouraging people to fight with ISIS. Some Jordanian writers claimed that his jihadist activities was linked with 2016 Al-Karak attack.

Majali
Majali (Arabic: المجالي) is a prominent Jordanian political family that has been based in the town of Al Karak since at least the 1770s. The Majali family originate from the Tamimi family and were named Al-Majali when they were exiled from Al-Khalil/Hebron by the Ottoman rule at the time. Family members were in Al Karak for long periods of time and served both the Ottoman Turks and the Hashemite family that has ruled Jordan since 1921. Al Karak
Al-Karak ( ar, الكرك), is a city in Jordan known for its medieval castle, the Kerak Castle. The castle is one of the three largest castles in the region, the other two being in Syria. Al-Karak is the capital city of the Karak Governorate. Al-Karak lies to the south of Amman on the ancient King's Highway. It is situated on a hilltop about above sea level and is surrounded on three sides by a valley. Al-Karak has a view of the Dead Sea. The ''Maktab al-Khidamat'' () was an Arab charitable organization founded in 1984 by Abdullah Azzam, Osama bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri and other volunteers during the Soviet–Afghan War, It raised funds and recruited foreign mujahideen for the war against the Soviets in Afghanistan. 2016 Al-Karak Attack
On 18 December 2016, a series of shootings took place in the city of Al-Karak in southern Jordan. The attack started in the vicinity of Al-Karak where a group of unidentified militants ambushed emergency responders and then moved into the city, attacking police patrols and the local police station and finally seeking shelter in the historic Crusader-era Kerak Castle, a popular tourist attraction. Severe fog at noon hampered police operations. Abdullah Azzam
Abdullah Yusuf Azzam ( ar, عبد الله يوسف عزام, translit=‘Abdu’llāh Yūsuf ‘Azzām; ) was a Salafi jihadist, a Palestinian scholar, and theologian of Sunni Islam.
