Aboud Omar
Aboud Omar (born 9 September 1992) is a Kenyan professional footballer who last played as a left-back for Greek Super League 2 club AEL and the Kenya national team. Career Born in Mombasa, Aboud Omar began his career at local side Admiral in the second tier of Kenyan football. In early 2011, he was loaned to Kenyan Premier League club Bandari. In June 2013, Omar joined Kenyan Premier League defending Champions Tusker where he won 2013 Kenyan Super Cup (post-season). After two years at Tusker, Omar signed with Greek club Panegialios in August 2015. He made his debut in a 0–0 home draw against Acharnaikos on 27 September. Omar played half of the season, appearing 15 times in the league. Slavia Sofia On 9 February 2016, Omar signed a contract with Bulgarian side Slavia Sofia, after a successful trial period with the club. Acharnaikos Football Club ( el, Α.Ο. Αχαρναϊκός) is a Greek football club based in Acharnes (Menidi area), Attica, Greece. It was created in 1938 and was founded in 1953. The club was known as Yperochi Menidi until 1961. It plays in Acharnes Stadium, which has a 4,450 seating capacity. The club´s logo is a cloverleaf with two alphas in the left and top and an omicron at the right. Acharnaikos competes in the Football League, the second division of the Greek football league system. 2017–18 Bulgarian Cup
The 2017−18 Bulgarian Cup was the 36th official edition of the Bulgarian annual football knockout tournament. The competition began on 19 September 2017 with the first round and finished with the final on 9 May 2018. Botev Plovdiv were the defending champions, but lost on away goals in the semi-finals to Slavia Sofia. Slavia later won the final on penalties against Levski Sofia, thus acquiring its eight Bulgarian Cup in its history. The club also qualified for the first qualifying round of the 2018–19 UEFA Europa League. Bulgarian Cup
The Bulgarian Cup ( bg, Купа на България, Kupa na Bulgaria) is a Bulgarian annual football competition. It is the country's main cup competition and all officially registered Bulgarian football teams take part in it. The tournament's format is ''single-elimination'', with all matches being one-legged, except the semi-finals. The competition's winner gets the right to take part in the UEFA Europa Conference League. If the winner has already secured a place through the Bulgarian A Professional Football Group, the team that has come ''fourth'' in the championship substitutes it. The competition has been dominated by Sofia-based teams. The Sofia teams have won together a total number of 65 titles. The three most successful teams are Levski Sofia (26 cups), CSKA Sofia (21 cups) and Slavia Sofia (8 cups). The current cup holders are Levski Sofia, who beat CSKA Sofia 1–0 in the 2022 final. The 2014 KPL Top 8 Cup was the fourth edition of the tournament, which kicked off on 5 April and ended on 15 June. to be contested by the top 8 teams of the 2013 season of the Kenyan Premier League: A.F.C. The 2013 KPL Top 8 Cup was the third edition of the tournament, which was originally scheduled to run from 3 April to 2 June 2013, but had the date of its final changed to 24 July. It was contested by the top 8 teams of the 2012 Kenyan Premier League season: A.F.C. Leopards, Chemelil Sugar, Gor Mahia, Mathare United, Sofapaka, Thika United, Tusker and Ulinzi Stars. Kenya Top 8 Cup
The KPL Top 8 Cup (also known as the KPL Top 8 Knockout, the KPL Top 8 Knockout Cup or simply the Top 8 Knockout, the Top 8 Cup or the Kenyan Top 8 Cup) is a Kenyan football championship contested by the top eight teams of the preceding Kenyan Premier League (KPL) season. The inaugural edition of the tournament took place in 2011, with Ulinzi Stars as the winners. Format The tournament is played in both a single-elimination and double-elimination format. It begins with the quarter-finals, where teams play against each other once. In the semi-finals, teams play each other in two matches and the team with more goals on aggregate advances to the final, which is played once. No third place playoff is played. The winners of the tournament receive a total sum of KSh.1,000,000/= as prize money, although appeals to the Football Kenya Federation have been made to increase the sum as gate collections in the tournament surpass the prize money amount.
