Able Team
Able Team is a series of action-adventure novels first published in 1982 by American Gold Eagle publishers. It is a spin-off of the ''Executioner'' series created by Don Pendleton. There were 51 novels in the ''Able Team'' series, plus 2 ''Super Able Team'' special editions (and several anthologized short stories). The characters also appeared in the three ''Heroes'' paperback anthologies published by Gold Eagle. The series ended in 1991 but the characters went on to star in the ''Stony Man'' series that followed. Able Team is one of two neutralization teams working for Stony Man, a top-secret anti-terrorist organization based in Virginia. Able Team is composed of Carl Lyons, Rosario Blancanales, and Hermann Schwarz. As with ''The Executioner'', the Able Team novels have been written by a succession of authors under the pseudonym "Dick Stivers". Blackfoot

Nicholas Cain
Nicholas Cain is a private investigator and author of action novels. Military career Cain was born and raised in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. In 1972, despite a relatively high draft number of 363, he volunteered for the Vietnam War, where he served as a US Army military policeman until 1973. He also served as an MP in Aurora, Colorado at the Fitzsimons Army Medical Center, then in Thailand with the 281st MPs at Amphoe Sattahip/Vayama, and in South Korea with the 110th MPs at Daejeon. In 1975, he left with an honorable military discharge and the rank of sergeant. He returned to Colorado where he became a state trooper in north metro Denver and subsequently a city cop in suburban Thornton, Colorado. Mack Bolan
Mack Bolan, alias '' The Executioner'', is a fictional character who has been serialized in 631 novels with sales of more than 200 million books. Created by Don Pendleton, Bolan made his first appearance on the printed page in ''The Executioner #1: War Against the Mafia'' (1969). Pendleton wrote 37 other novels featuring Bolan, often referred to as the "Mafia Wars". In 1980, Pendleton sold his rights to the character to Gold Eagle, which hired a number of ghostwriters to continue publishing Bolan monthly, to satisfy reader demand worldwide.
