Abigail Spanberger
Abigail Anne Spanberger (née Davis, August 7, 1979) is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative from since 2019. She is a member of the Democratic Party. Her district includes most of the northern suburbs of Richmond, as well as some exurban territory around Fredericksburg. Spanberger is a former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) officer. Spanberger defeated Republican Party (United States), Republican incumbent Dave Brat in 2018 United States House of Representatives elections in Virginia#District 7, 2018, ending the Republican Party's 36-year hold on the district. She won reelection in 2020 United States House of Representatives elections in Virginia#District 7, 2020 and 2022 United States House of Representatives elections in Virginia#District 7, 2022.
