Abdur Rahim (general)
Abdur Rahim (1953 – 15 August 2021) was a Bangladesh Army officer who served as the Director General of National Security Intelligence from 2001 to 2005. Career Rahim was commissioned in the Bangladesh Army in Comilla in 1975. Charges and convictions Rahim was charged in the 2004 Dhaka grenade attack. During Bangladesh Nationalist Party led government's tenure in 2004 he used to visit Hawa Bhaban. He was sentenced to death in the 10-Truck Arms and Ammunition Haul in Chittagong. He instructed NSI officials to supervise the offloading off arms in Chittagong Urea Fertilizer Limited jetty. He held several meetings with ARY Group and the ISI regarding the arms in Bangladesh and outside. In October 2018, Rahim and 18 others were found guilty on charges of killing through common intention, planning and criminal conspiracy at the 2004 Dhaka grenade attack case. National Security Intelligence
The Directorate General of National Security Intelligence ( bn, জাতীয় নিরাপত্তা গোয়েন্দা সংস্থা, Jātīẏa nirāpattā gōẏēndā saṅghastha), commonly known as the NSI, is the principal civilian intelligence agency of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The NSI's headquarters is in 1 Segunbagicha, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The NSI is the leading body of the Government of Bangladesh in the field of internal security, counter terrorism, counter intelligence and foreign intelligence. NSI is the largest among the intelligence agencies in Bangladesh, the others being the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI), SB, CID, PBI and intelligence directorates of armed and paramilitary forces. Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College (ShSMC) is a public medical college and hospital located in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. This medical college is the third public medical college in the government medical college rank after DMC & SSMC. It has been included in the Avicenna Directory of Medical Schools and International Medical Education Directory (IMED). History Shaheed Suhrawardy Hospital was established in 1963 as Ayub Central Hospital in Sher-e-Bangla Nagor, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The hospital building was designed by architect Louis I Kahn.
