Abdi İpekçi Arena
Abdi İpekçi Arena, formerly known as Abdi İpekçi Sports Complex, was a multi-purpose indoor arena located in the Zeytinburnu district of Istanbul, Turkey, situated just outside the Walls of Constantinople, ancient city walls, in Yedikule. History Designed in 1979, and opened on 3 June 1989, after several years of interrupted construction, it was named after the renowned Turkish people, Turkish journalist Abdi İpekçi. It was the primary basketball venue in Istanbul for two decades and hosted many (mostly the international) games of Istanbul's four top basketball clubs Anadolu Efes S.K., Anandolu Efes, Fenerbahçe Men's Basketball, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray S.K. 1991–92 FIBA European League
The 1991–92 FIBA European League, also shortened to 1991–92 FIBA EuroLeague, was the 35th installment of the European top-tier level professional club competition for basketball clubs (now called EuroLeague). The competition's Final Four was held at the Abdi İpekçi Arena in Istanbul, Turkey. It was won by Partizan, who defeated Montigalà Joventut, by a result of 71–70. This season of the competition also marked an end to the era of European national domestic league champions only participation, as it featured an expanded competition, that included national domestic league champions, the current league title holders, and some other teams from the most important national domestic leagues. Galatasaray S.K., is a professional basketball team based in the city of Istanbul in Turkey. It is a part of the Galatasaray Sports Club. The team competes in the Turkish Basketball Super League and Basketball Champions League. The team has won 16 Turkish championships (5 titles in the Turkish Super League and 11 in the former Turkish Basketball Championship). Powerlifting
Powerlifting is a strength sport that consists of three attempts at maximal weight on three lifts: squat, bench press, and deadlift.
