Abdelaziz Bin Ahmed Al Thani
Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Ahmad bin Ali bin Abdullah bin Jassim bin Muhammed Al Thani ( ar, link=no, عبد العزيز بن أحمد بن علي آل ثاني; c. 1946 – February 14, 2008) was the eldest son of the Emir of the State of Qatar Ahmad bin Ali Al Thani. Biography Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Thani was born in 1946, the oldest son of Emir Ahmad bin Ali Al Thani. Sheikh Abdulaziz served as Minister for Health between 1967 and 1972 and also as president of the Palestine Red Crescent Society. He was the crown prince of Qatar, but lost his position on 22 February 1972 when Prime Minister Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani took power in a nonviolent palace coup. House Of Thani
The House of Thani ( ar, الثاني , translit=Al Thani) is the ruling family of Qatar, with origins tracing back to the Banu Tamim tribal confederation. History and structure The Al Thanis can be traced back to Mudar bin Nizar. The tribe were settled at Gebrin oasis in southern Najd (present-day Saudi Arabia) before they moved to Qatar. Around the 17th century, the tribe lived in Ushayqir, a settlement north-east of Riyadh. They settled in Qatar around the 1720s. Their first settlement in Qatar was in the southern town of Sikak, and from there they moved north-west to Zubarah and Al Ruwais. They settled in Doha in the 19th century under their leader Mohammed bin Thani. The group was named after the father of Mohammad, Thani bin Mohammad. Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Abdullah bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani ( ar, خليفة بن حمد آل ثاني; 17 September 1932 – 23 October 2016) was the Emir of Qatar from 27 February 1972 until he was deposed by his son Hamad bin Khalifa on 27 June 1995. Palestine Red Crescent Society
The Palestine Red Crescent Society ( ar, جمعية الهلال الأحمر الفلسطيني, PRCS) was founded in 1968, by Fathi Arafat, Yasser Arafat's brother. It is a humanitarian organization that is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. It provides hospitals, emergency medicine and ambulance services, and primary health care centers in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Its headquarters is in Ramallah, near Jerusalem.
