Abaseen Division
Abaseen or Abasin Division is a proposed division in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, which will comprise seven districts: Battagram, Allai, Kolai-Palas, Upper Kohistan, Lower Kohistan, Shangla, and Torghar. The area is located on both sides of the Indus River, which is known in Pashto and other local languages as ''Abaseen''. It is declared that either Battagram, the capital of Battagram District, or Besham, a town at the eastern end of Shangla District, will become the headquarters of Abaseen Division. History On 18 June 2011, Abaseen Division was announced by then Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Haider Khan Hoti during his speech at a public gathering in Battagram, but it was not approved because of the census. Divisions Of Pakistan
The Administrative units of Pakistan, four provinces, capital territory and two autonomous territories of Pakistan are subdivided into 38 administrative "divisions", which are further subdivided into Districts of Pakistan, districts, tehsils and finally Union councils of Pakistan, union councils. These divisions were abolished in 2000, but restored in 2008. The Census in Pakistan ( ur, ), is a decennial census and a descriptive count of Pakistan's population on Census Day, and of their dwellings, conducted and supervised by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The 2017 Census in Pakistan marks the first census to take place in Pakistan since 1998. The next census will take place in August 2022. Overview A national census is mandated by the Constitution of Pakistan to be held every ten years. After the independence of Pakistan in 1947, the first census took place in 1951 under Finance Minister Sir Malik Ghulam, serving under Prime Minister Liaquat Ali Khan. Haider Khan Hoti
Ameer Haider Khan Hoti ( ur, ; ps, امير حېدر خان هوتي) is a Pakistani Pashtun politician who was the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from 2008 to 2013. During his government, the province was renamed from "North-West Frontier Province" to "Khyber Pakhtunkhwa." Hoti has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since August 2018, and from June 2013 to May 2018. He is the Senior Vice President of the Awami National Party (ANP). Besham
Besham (Urdu, ps, بشام; also known as Besham Qila) is a city in the Shangla District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Located on the right bank of the Indus River (locally known as ''Abasin''), Besham serves as a major junction on the Karakoram Highway, that connects Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab with Gilgit-Baltistan, and crosses over into China's Xinjiang. Besham is also the eastern terminus of the under-construction E90 expressway, which will connect the city westward with Khwazakhela in Swat District. Besham is located around east of Swat, north of Rawalpindi-Islamabad, and northeast of the provincial capital, Peshawar, Pakistan. Battagram ( ur, , ps, ) is a city and Union Council of Battagram District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan. It is located at 34°41'N 73°1'E and has an altitude of 1038 metres (3408 feet). Pashto

Shangla District
Shangla District ( ps, شانګله ولسوالۍ, ur, ) is a district in Malakand Division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The district's headquarter is located at Alpuri, while the largest city and commercial center is Besham. The district was established in 1995, having previously been a subdivision of Swat District.
