Abaangui
Abaan is the moon god in the mythology of the Guaraní people of central South America. According to the myth, Abaan had a huge nose, which he cut off. When he threw it into the sky, it became the Moon. He is described as being a culture hero of the Guaraní, with his brother Zaguaguayu. Guaraní Mythology
The Tupi-Guarani mythology is the set of narratives about the gods and spirits of the different Tupi-Guarani peoples, ancient and current. Together with the cosmogonies, anthropogonies and rituals, they form part of the religion of these peoples. The Guarani people live in the south-central part of South America, especially in Paraguay and parts of the surrounding areas of Argentina, Brazil, and Bolivia.
