Aat Van Rhijn
Arie Adriaan "Aat" van Rhijn (23 October 1892 – 11 February 1986) was a Dutch politician of the defunct Christian Historical Union (CHU) party and later of the Labour Party (PvdA) and jurist. Van Rhijn worked as a researcher at the Utrecht University from April 1918 until July 1920 and as a civil servant for the Ministry of Water Management from June 1918 until July 1919. Van Rhijn worked as a trade association executive for the Publishing companies association (NUV) from July 1919 until January 1928 and also the Christian Employers' association (NCW) from April 1926 until January 1928. The Council of State ( nl, ) is a constitutionally established advisory body in the Netherlands to the government and States General that officially consists of members of the royal family and Crown-appointed members generally having political, commercial, diplomatic or military experience. VNO-NCW (known in English as the "Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers") is a Dutch employers' federation founded in 1996 as a merger of the Christian-democratic ''Nederlands Christelijk Werkgeversverbond'' (NCW), which was founded as fusion of the Protestant PCW and the Catholic NKW, and the liberal ''Verbond van Nederlandse Ondernemingen'' (VNO). Both organizations had strong ties with the Protestant and liberal pillar, respectively. The federation chose not to adopt a new name, but instead use the well-known acronyms of its constituent organizations.
