Aasta Voss
Aasta Voss (October 26, 1914 – May 29, 1994) was a Norwegian actress."Dødsfall" (in Norwegian). ''Film og kino'' 4/1994, p. 41 Voss made her debut in 1935 as Georgine in Oskar Braaten's (''The Great Baptism'') at the Norwegian Theater, where she was later employed, except for two short stays at the Rogaland Theater and the National Traveling Theater. With a sharply realistic feeling, Voss played a number of female roles in Braaten's plays, Nastja in Maxim Gorky's ''The Lower Depths'', Mrs. Buch in Helge Krog's adaptation of Cora Sandel's (''Krane's Café''), and Indiana in Olav Duun's (''Fellow Man''). She also proved to be a confident stylistic artist, including in Federico García Lorca's ''Yerma'' and in Bertolt Brecht's ''The Caucasian Chalk Circle'' and ''The Good Person of Szechwan'', and in pantomime style in Eugene O'Neill's ''The Emperor Jones''. Volda is a municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is part of the Sunnmøre region. The administrative centre is the village of Volda. Other villages in the municipality include Dravlaus, Fyrde, Straumshamn, Leira, Bjørke, and Grodås. The municipality is located about south of the town of Ålesund. Eugene O'Neill
Eugene Gladstone O'Neill (October 16, 1888 – November 27, 1953) was an American playwright and Nobel laureate in literature. His poetically titled plays were among the first to introduce into the U.S. the drama techniques of realism, earlier associated with Russian playwright Anton Chekhov, Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen, and Swedish playwright August Strindberg. The tragedy '' Long Day's Journey into Night'' is often included on lists of the finest U.S. plays in the 20th century, alongside Tennessee Williams's ''A Streetcar Named Desire'' and Arthur Miller's ''Death of a Salesman''. O'Neill's plays were among the first to include speeches in American English vernacular and involve characters on the fringes of society. The title ''I slik en natt'' is taken from Henrik Wergeland's poem "Juleaftenen" (Christmas Eve) in his poetry collection '' Jøden'' (The Jew), and the film deals with the Gestapo's search for a group of Jewish children in Oslo and bold action to bring the children to safety. ''Trine!'' is a Norwegian black-and-white drama film from 1952 directed by Toralf Sandø. Eva Røine starred in the title role. The film was based on Hans Geelmuyden's novel ''Trine!'', and Geelmuyden wrote the script for the film together with Sandø. Plot Per Gjerpen works as a salesman and accountant. One day he sees Trine while he is out on a sales tour. He buys her two lottery tickets. This is the beginning of a contact that later deepens into a love affair. The couple discovers that they have won a house in the lottery, but it later turns out not to be true. The numbers were read incorrectly. Instead, they are able to use a house owned by Aunt Andrea. Trine goes to visit Andrea, who is ill, and Per grows lonely in the house. Then complications begin.
