Aaron Thomas (American Football)
Aaron Norman Thomas (born November 7, 1937), is an American former professional American football, football player who was a tight end in the National Football League (NFL) for the San Francisco 49ers and New York Giants from 1961 NFL season, 1961 to 1970 NFL season, 1970. Early life Thomas was born in Dierks, Arkansas, but moved in 1948 to Weed, California, where he played high school football. He graduated from Weed High School in 1957. Dierks is a city in Howard County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 916 as of the 2020 census, down from 1,133 in 2010. History Dierks was formerly known as "Hardscrabble.” It was changed to "Dierks" after Hans Dierks, the oldest of four brothers who owned the Dierks Lumber and Coal Company. Robb Douglas Thomas (born March 29, 1966) is a former American football wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) who played from 1989 to 1998. High school career Thomas graduated from Corvallis High School in Corvallis, Oregon in 1985 and starred in football and track. He helped lead the Corvallis Spartans to a 3A Oregon State Championship in 1983. College career At Oregon State University, Thomas set many records. He currently is second in "all purpose running yards" at OSU. His total of 3,379 yards for rushing, receiving and punt and kick-off returns during his career (1985–1988) is behind only that of Ken Carpenter's 3,903 yards from 1947-1949.
