Aaron Russell
Aaron Joseph Russell (born June 4, 1993) is an American professional volleyball player who plays as an outside hitter for JT Thunders and the U.S. national team. He was a bronze medalist at the Olympic Games Rio 2016 and the 2018 World Championship. Personal life Aaron Russell grew up in Ellicott City, Maryland, U.S. His parents are Stewart and Marian Russell. Aaron was born the second of five boys. The other brothers are Peter (1992), Samuel (1995), Tim (1999) and Paul (2002). Peter also plays volleyball professionally. Russell was a top soccer player for Centennial High School in Maryland. The school did not have a boys’ volleyball team so he helped the girls’ team train while playing club volleyball at MVP (Maryland Volleyball Program). In 2015, he graduated from Pennsylvania State University. On July 30, 2017, he married former Penn State women's volleyball player Kendall Pierce, his college sweetheart. 2019 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup
The 2019 FIVB Men's World Cup was the 14th edition of the event, contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the ' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The tournament was held from 1 to 15 October 2019 in Japan. That was the first time since 1989 that FIVB decided not to allocate any spots in the Olympics, due to Japan hosting the 2020 Summer Olympics. 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship
The 2018 FIVB Men's Club World Championship was the 14th edition of the tournament. It was held in Poland for the second straight time from 26 November to 2 December 2018. Eight teams competed in the tournament, including four wild cards. In an all-Italian final Trentino Volley defeated Cucine Lube Civitanova and won the title for the fifth time. Centennial High School is a secondary school in Ellicott City, Maryland, United States, that opened in 1977. The school is based in Howard County and is part of the Howard County Public Schools system. The school is named after its road frontage on Centennial Lane, built in 1876 as a shortcut through Denton Hammond's slave plantation Burleigh Manor between Clarksville and Ellicott City. United States Men's National Volleyball Team
The United States men's national volleyball team represents the country in international competitions and friendly matches. The team is governed by USA Volleyball. The team has won five Olympic medals, including three gold. History As the birthplace of volleyball, the United States founded the first association to regulate the sport. 2017 Men's NORCECA Volleyball Championship
The 2017 Men's NORCECA Volleyball Championship was the 25th edition of the tournament, and was held in Colorado Springs, United States from 26 September to 1 October 2017. The top three teams qualified for the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, whereas the fourth and fifth ranked teams qualified for the 2018 World Championship NORCECA qualification final four. The 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League was the inaugural edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League, a new annual international men's volleyball tournament contested by 16 national teams that replaced the former World League in the international calendar.
