Rani Padmini (1962 – 15 October 1986) was an Indian actress during the 1980s in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and a few Hindi films. She entered the film field with ''Sangharsham'' and played notable roles in '' Parankimala'', ''Sharam'', ''Bandhanam'' and ''Kilikonchal''. She was murdered on 15 October 1986 at her home, along with her mother, by three of her employees. Personal life She was born to Chaudri and Indirakumari at Anna Nagar, Madras. She was their only child. Death On the morning of 15 October 1986, Rani Padmini's driver, Jebaraj, watchman Lakshmi Narasimhan alias Kutty, and cook, Ganeshan attacked her mother Indirakumari and killed her. Prem Nazir (born Abdul Khader; 7 April 1926 – 16 January 1989) was an Indian actor known as one of Malayalam cinema's definitive leading man, leading men of his generation. Srividya (24 July 1953 – 19 October 2006), also known as Sreevidya, was an Indian actress best known for her work predominantly in Malayalam and Tamil films, along with few Telugu, Kannada and Hindi films. In a career spanning for 40 years, she had acted in more than 800 films. In the latter part of her career, she concentrated on Malayalam films. In addition to acting, Srividya occasionally worked as a playback singer as well as carnatic singer. She was also a well trained Bharathanatyam dancer. She was best known for restraint and subtlety in portrayal of varied emotions. She used her own voice for dubbing almost in all movies in all languages. In 2006, she died of Spine cancer, aged 53. Thakkathu Amayankottu Rajalakshmi (June 2, 1930 – January 18, 1965), better identified as Rajalakshmi, was an Indian novelist, short story writer and poet of Malayalam literature. She was the author of three novels, two poetry anthologies and a short story anthologies. Kerala Sahitya Akademi awarded her their annual award for novel in 1960, making her the third recipient of the award. Sreekumaran Thampi (born 16 March 1940) is an Indian lyricist, music director, director, producer, and screenwriter in Malayalam cinema. He also writes poetry and is a recipient of the Vallathol Award. In 2017, he was awarded the J. C. Daniel Award, Kerala government's highest honour for contributions to Malayalam cinema. Film career Thampi was introduced to the Malayalam film industry in 1966 by P. Subramaniam as a lyricist in the film '' Kaattumallika''.
