A Midsummer's Nice Dream
"A Midsummer's Nice Dream" is the sixteenth episode of the twenty-second season of the American animated television series ''The Simpsons''. It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on March 13, 2011. The episode name is a play on the Shakespeare play '' A Midsummer Night's Dream'' and the Cheech & Chong movie ''Nice Dreams''. Plot The Simpsons are at a live Cheech and Chong show when Chong, upset by the act's repetitiveness, begins to improvise and ultimately leaves the stage. Homer is encouraged to take Chong's place on stage, and recites the " Dave's not here, man" act from memory. Cheech is impressed, and asks Homer to join him for the rest of the tour under the name "Cheech and Chunk". Homer is disillusioned to learn that Cheech and Chong's lives are different from their stoner personae. Steven Dean Moore
Steven Dean Moore is an American animation director. His credits include 65 episodes of the animated television series ''The Simpsons'' and several episodes of the Nickelodeon series ''Rugrats'' (1991–2004). Moore was also one of four sequence directors on ''The Simpsons Movie'' (2007). He was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2002. Moore's earliest credit is one of the principal animators on Filmation's last major production, ''BraveStarr''. Nice Dreams
''Nice Dreams'' is a 1981 American action adventure comedy film directed by Tommy Chong and starring Cheech & Chong, in their third feature film. Released in 1981 by Columbia Pictures, the film focuses on the duo having gotten rich selling cannabis out of an ice cream truck, and evading the Drug Enforcement Administration, led by Sgt. Stedenko (Stacy Keach), who are trying to bust an alleged drug kingpin named "Mr. Big", and discover a strain of marijuana that turns people into lizards, including Stedenko, who has been smoking cannabis to get inside the head of a drug user. The film costars Paul Reubens and Evelyn Guerrero, and features small appearances by comedians Sandra Bernhard and Michael Winslow, and a cameo by Timothy Leary. Principal Seymour Skinner (born Armin Tamzarian) is a recurring fictional character in the animated sitcom ''The Simpsons'', who is voiced by Harry Shearer. ''Cheech And Chong'' is the 1971 debut album of Cheech & Chong, produced by Lou Adler. It features "Dave", one of their most famous routines. The album peaked at #28 on the ''Billboard'' 200 the week of March 4, 1972. The album was nominated for Best Comedy Recording at the 14th Grammy Awards, but lost to Lily Tomlin's '' This Is a Recording''. At Christmas that year, a single was released with "Dave" on the B-side and with " Santa Claus and His Old Lady" (a sketch not available on any of the duo's LPs, but it does appear on a Dr Demento compilation) on the A-side. The single peaked at #38. A possible bootleg of this LP has appeared on the Melody label (Melody SS-6020) with the same selections.
